I don't know what you consider affordable but the ikea markus chair i have served me well for over 7 years, and once it developed a problem it was still under warranty which ikea honoured no questions asked. 199€ brand new.

Yes. This. And I have sat in and used most of the $1,000-$2,000 chairs reddit swears by. They are uncomfortable as FUQ! and break all of the time as well. I would pick an Ikea Markus over all of them ALL day long.
