I mean, it ran fairly well on my HP Envy x360, which can’t even smoothly run a video editor, so the developers are pretty considerate of weaker builds.

I run abelton on an old windows hp envy x360 from 6 years ago and it has an i7 with 8gb of ram and ive never had any slowdowns. Im sure it would work just fine. I also used serum and many plugins. I havent used it since ai tools so im not sure with that. From what i hear tho the neo is a tank

Yes, it will feel much better on CachyOS. I have a HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-ed1xxx. and on Win 11 23h2 I could play Warframe on Medium settings on 8G ram just fine. Same here, a HP envy x360. The battery last like 2 hours more than on Windows, its amazing. The speakers tho, it's the only issue I have, only the two bottom ones are working on Linux, the ones next to the keyboard don't and I cannot find a fix

So, I have no lag in GIMP. It feels really natural to draw with. The liftoff distance is pretty poor on this older pen though. Jitter only exists when drawing slowly at 45° angles but is fairly minimal. Pressure sensitivity is really good and responsive. I can control the stroke pressure fairly well
