Think of it: they price their state-of-the-art game at just $25 in a day & age in which some of the crappiest games cost >$60, they don’t make you pay for additional content, they go OUT OF THEIR WAY to make their game easier to mod, they must be amazing at optimization (I can smoothly run version 0

I used the serial number in your photos and found the info for you. It's an HP Envy x360 Laptop 14-ES0033SX (7H9Y1UA). Standard config for this unit is an i7-1355u, 16gb of DDR4 3200MT/s, and a 1TB SSD. Your asking price is fair, though something like the new MacBook Neo for $500 with an edu discoun

I mean, it ran fairly well on my HP Envy x360, which can’t even smoothly run a video editor, so the developers are pretty considerate of weaker builds.

Funny you mention that. In terms of QC, Dell was always worse than HP whether Flagship model or Economy model. I'd have to RMA batches of Dell laptops for the silliest of things, like the keyboard keys binding up against the chassis right out of the box. RMAs on HPs have been very low. My personal l

look at Lenovo Yoga 7i/6, HP Envy x360 (Ryzen 5/7), or Dell Inspiron 14/16 2-in-1. They have good build quality, solid cooling, touchscreen support, USB-C charging, and decent storage. Avoid OLED like you said—IPS panels are tougher and cheaper to replace. Refurbs can get you more performance for th

A 120hz oled touch would be a HP Envy X360 or sth like that which over 1000€. 8GB of Memory is plenty for most muggle usecases. You don't need more for youtube, some excel sheets, teams meetings and browsing. Also for normal development you don't need more in many cases. It's just a question of how

Flex 3-1580 did similar out of warranty. Did a few repairs that held but eventually broke - Last fix I glued it shut with E-6000 and it's still holding up. What a flimsy, junky design. Typing here on my almost 7 y/o HP ENVY x360 which has been incredibly solid, reliable and generally trouble free. F

I don't disagree, but those things cost money. I didn't have the $$ to buy a nice PC when I started college. Just giving OP an idea of what a previous student did. My basic HP envy x360 did just fine through undergrad +masters. In cases where it didn't, I could remote in or use the labs on campus. I
