Is the HeyGears RS worth the price difference over the Saturn 4 ultra 16k

Unquestionably yes. I have two s4u16k’s and a reflex rs turbo. The Heygears is hands down the better machine. It makes better prints with identical models and resin I use elegoo abs-like 3.0+ on the PARP10 setting at 50nm layers and it makes gorgeous prints. Sharp detail and crisp edges every time E

How much has print quality increased over the last few years?

Print resolution took a pretty big leap once we got under 0.03mm/30um pixel size (Saturn 2/8K generation). It's been pretty diminishing returns since then. I own a Mars 2 Pro, and with tuning it can still compete on print smoothness, but it won't render the small texture details that higher resoluti

Anyone upgraded their screen?

I haven't made the upgrade, but the YouTuber Greedy 3D has a video of HeyGears RS vs Turbo. I think he showcases the time difference with each printer with and without a PRM. If I recall, there was surprisingly little difference in time between an RS with PRM and a turbo with PRM. The amber screen d

Resin priner recommendations for prototyping

Yeah honestly imo even the RS is quite a bit better than any Elegoo printer anyways, so it's the best bang for your buck and then eventually when profile editing is a thing, you'll probably be able to tune engineering resins to it anyways, whether you want to use them or not. As for normal resins, I

the beauty of 3d printer is that you can print at the scale you want

This was printed on a Heygears Reflex RS Turbo with PAP10 high detail resin. For the money it’s the best setup on the market right now imo I also have a pair of Elegoo Saturn 4 ultra 16k’s for larger terrain pieces Can’t go wrong with either machine

Anycubic M7 or Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra?

Anycubics are a larger gamble in terms of QC than Elegoo. A lot of M7s come with concave plates. On top of that, Anycubics can't use per layer wait times, so they have even more trouble with adhesion than other auto-leveling printers, especially with low cure depth resins (light colored/high detail)

What printers are everyone using?

Like most things I spend a few months going back and forth before making a decision. I looked at them after seeing Fauxhammers videos on YouTube. That was back when they released the original Reflex. What made me not buy it was the cost and given that I didn’t do much or enjoy resin printing with th

Suggestions for next printer?

If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available to you, it's the best bang for your buck and last of the non auto-leveling printers worth buying. Usually less than $270. Heygears is running a sale on the Reflex RS for $499, which is the lowest that printer has ever been. It's probably the only auto-levelin

FDM user looking to buy a resin printer for the first time use

Heygears Reflex RS is less than the P1 on sale right now. That’s a far better printer than any Anycubic. If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available in your market, that’s the best bang for your buck available, and it has a higher Z height than any newer printer. The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3.0 Plus is go

Looking for a dimensionally accurate resin printer (sub-$1,000)

If you mean for miniatures and hobby sort of stuff, nope. If you mean for prosumer stuff then the Reflex 2 is amazing for less cost and might be worth checking into before spending as much as a Formlabs printers cost. Being stuck in the Formlabs ecosystem is not a cheap ride where with Heygears, you
