Resin printing "arms race" over?

Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

High quality printer

Detail wise most of the printers today can deliver great results. I will recommend medium size printers for that they can both handle small and large minis without the down side of large machine like wasteful vat or lower fine detail. I personally recommend HeyGears RS Turbo as its reliability and s

Is the HeyGears RS worth the price difference over the Saturn 4 ultra 16k

Unquestionably yes. I have two s4u16k’s and a reflex rs turbo. The Heygears is hands down the better machine. It makes better prints with identical models and resin I use elegoo abs-like 3.0+ on the PARP10 setting at 50nm layers and it makes gorgeous prints. Sharp detail and crisp edges every time E

Resin equivalent to Bambu Labs

HeyGears. Since upgrading to a HeyGears RS Turbo 6 months ago, I haven’t had to do any of the usual mucking around that you usually have to do with resin printers. I’m about 50kg of resin in by now, and I’ve had zero failures. The machine did its auto levelling on day one and that was the setup proc

What's the next logical Resin printer after the Msrs 5 ultra?

Probably to quit resin printing. It’s a pain in the ass, and that’s coming from someone who has bought his 7th resin printer just this week. They all have issues and are flawed in some way. The older Saturn 3 is less problematic as it doesn’t have problematic features like auto-leveling/force sensin

How much is *too* much for a 3D printer?

If I understand you correctly, you want to buy a printer before you know how well your models sell? Why not the other way round? There are 3D printing providers, who have all, the knowledge, machines, scalability and most importantly, everything else that is needed to finish the models. Print a few

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals

Yeah Anycubic long term support is ass. I own an M3 Premium and they ended support for them almost 2 years ago, yet I can still order parts (other than LCDs) for my Saturn 2s from Elegoo... which are the same age as the M3 Premium. Heygears is supposed to open up some of their settings later this ye

Replacing an S4U 16K with better option

Nothing wrong with Heygears because they work as well as they tell you they do. Some of their parts cost a little more but I actually spend less over time because their screens and film last 3-4x longer than elegoo. They're not as closed as some people seem to think and the RS line will be opening u

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals

+1 for heygears. The Reflex RS Turbo is the best hobby printer on the market right now imo. With the slicer and settings opening up next quarter there’s no downside. Plus I’ve run a bunch of non-heygears resin using the built in presets and I’ve never had a failure yet

Any truly plug-and-play resin printers? Heygears owners, is the Reflex RS plug-and-play?

Nothing about resin is plug-and-play, but the Heygears RS is the closest we are getting until the Athena II releases.
