As someone who works from home, my Herman Miller Aeron was a game changer

I'm currently sitting in a Herman Miller Aeron chair from a previous employer who closed that location . When it closed if you could find a manager to sign for it, you could take it home. Get a Herman Miller Aeron. They're like $1000-1500 new but every time a company goes out of business they have to sell off all their chairs, so you can get them on craigslist for ~300 and even cheaper from liquidation auctions.

At one of my previous jobs, someone was tossing a Herman Miller Aeron. I immediately recognized it and brought it home. The hydraulic cylinder needed to be replaced and it only cost about $40 on Amazon for a replacement kit. I will keep this chair forever.

I upgraded to a herman miller desk chair (not the aeron) and the most immediate upgrade I noticed was just how many positioning opinions there are for the chair the back the arm rests the lower back, etc. I can even have 3 different lean back amounts. The arm rests are the most absurdly positionable
