37 Years of Mechwarrior Gaming

It's a GPD Win Mini (2023)! With SteamOS 3.9 and some plugins (lsfg-vk and decky-framegen), MW5 does 70 - 120 FPS easy for around 2 hours of game time, on a device that's marginally bigger than a 3DS

Why do some of you still keep and use GPD devices over other handhelds?

The GPD WIN MINI 2025 is exactly what a gaming handheld should be. Small enough to bring it anywhere while powerful enough to play the latest games (within reason). The physical keyboard is also a VERY WELCOME bonus when using the device for work too.

What can the Ayn Thor realistically do?

Bro what? The AYN thor can emulate basically everything outside of wiiu and switch perfectly. Even with the switch library, most first party nintendo games run excellent. When you get into PC emulation, thats when things get scary. But I would say that you can basically emulate almost every PC game

Should I or should I not

My guy there's no miracle portable for you. You will always need to try to squeeze some frames out of a tiny box powered by a tiny battery with a tiny fan and heatsink. Or you could just settle for the frames it can do without getting into a rabbit hole of tinkering and play some games in pure bliss

Discrete GPU in Laptop vs iGPU in handheld. How much of a difference?

I have several small devices, it’s my tech hobby obsession. Small form-factor, max flexibility and power. I have a 2020 legion AMD r7 32r 3070m, 2030 ROG Z13 4060m, a Steamdeck,Legion go and the 2025 GPD Win Mini HX 370 32g. The Win Mini is my favorite. It’s pocketable, clam shell and powerful for h

Handheld gaming in 2026

It's a bit pricey, but I use the GPD Win mini 2025, absolute beast of a thing. I also like to use a little tiny $30 bluetooth keyboard with it that is smaller than my phone. My setup

Review/Experience : from Nreal Air to Β Viture One to Xreal One Pro

I also have the GPD Win Mini 2025! That thing is a beast and is one of the best companion device for Xreal glasses (and AR glasses in general) in my opinion.

I canceled my Ayaneo 1S DS and bought the Thor Max

Im going all in on the clamshell lol the gpd win mini (2025) will be my device for the triple a and heavier stuff, ayn thor max for the indies, emulators and some streaming. After looking at the size of the ayaneo I knew it was too big for the use case I had in mind.

This mini PC has no dedicated GPU and just ran Forza Horizon 5 at 75 fps. What is happening.

The 890m and the 780m are excellent πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ iGPUs they punch well above their weight class for being so efficient, now something like the AI Max 395 with the 8060s will destroy them but at 4 times the wattage. I have a GPD Win Mini Ryzen 7 8840u 32gb 2tb with 780m it's almost twice as fast as the Core i9
