A $2.40 keyboard
I have the redragon davarjas. It was my first mechanical keyboard. Ive had a few fairly nice and not nice (looking at you GMMK Pro) since but recently i took it to work again cause i needed a board and was frustrated with the membrane board they gave me. I remembered how pretty damn solid it was and

Help me choose between 2 Keychron boards
On the surface they're very similar boards with similar feature sets, and at similar price points. The main difference is the design and construction - the V6 is 'gasket mount', the switches are on a (very nice quality!) custom circuit board, which is mounted between foam gaskets in the plastic case

These cheap keycaps from Amazon are actually great!
$50? I wish. I bought my GMMK2 years ago when it was brand new. It was about $120. It's still a great keyboard, and it has served me well. I put lubed Glorious Fox switches in it. I built my husband a GMMK Pro around the same time and used the Gateron Blue switches. He likes the clicky switches. 🤮

Another UK/ISO hot-swap recommendation post (sorry 😅)
There's really no limit to what you can spend - keyboards are a surprisingly deep rabbit hole. I don't really like to promote something of my own, but I made a video demonstrating this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trvGM4dEKVQ Right, let's do this... For quite a long time, the only way to get a me

do people make keycaps that are loose on purpose? i think all my GMMK keycaps broke because the kalih speed bronze switches i got as a package with the bare board are too big. I feel like gravity should be enough to keep it all together for my purposes, and it'd probably be easier to clean too.

Hi all, as a 98% was my first mechanical keyboard (GMMK2 with some mods, KTT kang white V3 as I didn't like the GMMK fox red even luped)ever for my home office setup I am missing a convenient knob. The 98% will find a place in my office setup as I have to sit there 2 days a week and hate that mushy

I’m losing the will to live trying to find a new keyboard…
I have a few 100% ISO boards. I'll list them first in order of purchase: Glorious GMMK 3 (Boardsmith so I could tweak the configuration) - FR4 Switch Plate, Keygeek Y2 Switches, and MT3 Susuwatari keycaps. Keychron Q6 Max - Standard Chilkey ND104 - Polycarbonate plate, Chosfox & HMX Dune Fox Switche

Buying new keyboard
those are solid starter choices honestly. the gmmk pro is a great first build board, and gateron milky pros are smooth after lubing. i'd maybe look at Akko Black and Pink keycaps instead of xda if you want more texture - xda can feel a bit flat for gaming. also grab some Krytox 205g0 lube for the sw

Help- Dad trying to get it right
It’ll depend heavily on his needs. For example, I wanted a compact keyboard but I also needed the ten keys for number input so I ended up deciding on the 96% GMMK 2. It was a prebuilt one that came with prelubed fox linear switches.

I currently own a few boards and a decent variety of switches, and am looking for a decent-good quality board. The boards i’ve used in the past all sound kinda cheap and one that can produce a deep and satisfying sound given the right switches. Currently using GMMK pro and banana split switches
