It's late, here is my old GMMK Pro

I'm assuming this was shot when it was new, because a work board that's this old with ABS caps wouldn't look like that LOL. Black ABS caps would be shined very nicely by now... even PBT ones would. I've still got my GMMK Pro. It's in my office performing work duties. Like you, I was fooled into buyi

I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?

'Better' is really subjective. The GMMK 2 has a compacted layout with a shortened zero on the numpad and no navigation keys beyond the cursors. That might be a deal-breaker for some. The GMMK 3 has a more conventional layout with the addition of a knob. You can get an HE variant of the GMMK 3 too, w

Buying new keyboard

GMMK is kind of overpriced and mediocre, not even QMK (by default, there is third party QMK firmware for some models but dang). 75% with knob: Monsgeek M1 v5 * ($80 barebones) Akko 5075B VIA * ($60 barebones) Royal Kludge RK R75 QMK/VIA * ($51 with coupon) Womier Q75 ($59) Womier Era75 ($63) Yunzii AL

Glorious GMMK 2 full size barebone

Not a very good buy at all, what's your budget? GMMK materials are not very well produced and the stabilizers suck, plus the firmware is pretty unreliable compared to qmk/via

Help me choose between 2 Keychron boards

On the surface they're very similar boards with similar feature sets, and at similar price points. The main difference is the design and construction - the V6 is 'gasket mount', the switches are on a (very nice quality!) custom circuit board, which is mounted between foam gaskets in the plastic case

Terrible buildquality

I can't speak for the GMMK3, but I have a GMMK2 96% (mine) and a GMMK Pro (my husband's). Both of them have been excellent keyboards for the last 3 or 4 years. I have never had an issue with either of them. Their software, "Glorious Core" or whatever it's called, is terrible though. That's no matter

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - January 31, 2026

Recently picked up a barebones gmmk compact and have it sounding and feeling perfect for me (switch and plate foams, asura switches) but the lack of qmk/via is killing me as their software doesn't allow layer editing. Anyone have any suggestions for a barebones/kit $50 or under? Only real requiremen

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - November 23, 2025

Hi, i spilled a whole cup of water on my GMMK Pro and am now having issues. I unplugged, turned upside down and removed all keycaps straight away, left it for 2 days in a warm space, tried using it and was fine for about an hour and then my left shift and windows key stopped working. I put it away a

$250 GMMK 3 came broken and *I* hae to fix it

One of the reasons GMMK is not recommended around here.Another is the lack of VIA support.
