Honestly it's working good, a bit rough around the edges. I built it because I really don't like Android. The lack of control, software support abandonment, etc, have driven me to work towards eradicating Android from all my devices. So atm we have these Mini PCs, they were £160 no RAM no SSD. Beast

The least you could have done is benchmarking your NVME M2 SSD, things like "i don t trust this , i don t feel like" are not Tech argument. Same goes with the RAM, you could have benchmark its performances and then draw some conclusion.btw TSMC is the best processor manufacturer period, i didn t kno

Hi, I am from Netherlands here, I ordered my GMKTec K12 from Aliexpress (Local+) shipped from France with FedEx. I didn't pay any customs clearance, also the seller confirmed to me before that I don't have to pay anything extra, I received it in less than a week. Beside that, I find it strange there

Most of the 780m iGPU minis have performance similar to or slightly above that of a steam deck out of the box. Beyond that it just kinda depends on brand preference and quality, I/O layouts, etc. I test-drove a K8plus as my first mini PC along with GMKTec's all-in-one eGPU and it was GREAT for a fir

The protectl is a good machine and supported by a US-based warranty. They are responsive in my experience. But you’ll pay a premium for it. Around the holidays I picked up a GMKtec K12 for ~$300 for pfsense. It’s worked well. But looks like prices have 2x.

go with GMKtec, Anything with the Radeon 780M (or better) graphics. I have set up several GMKtec K12 models and they have been great little PCs.I would provide a link, but being that it is less than 2 weeks to Christmas, it will be VERY hard to find one for a reasonable price right now.

GMKtec is a more well known and trusted brand. Probably one of if not the top manufacturer of mini PCs. I would go for the K12. The option of Oculink too is really nice should you ever consider plugging in an eGPU dock even if you don’t use it at first. The option is nice to have just in case you do

No worries. You should definitely wait to know the price before buting the Steam Machine. If it’s not in your budget maybe check out a mini PC- I got my GMKtec NucBox K12 for $500 and after one reset it works great, and you can install Linux on it to have most of the same games the Steam Machine wil

Not at all! I ended up getting a GMKtec NucBox K12 mini PC that suits me perfectly! Other than one reset I had to do due to BSOD and a stream that was mostly unusable due to livestreaming while natively playing Sea of Thieves being too heavy (32 GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory is not as powerful as I thoug
