UTR out on its first adventure.
Everyone acting like this is some mythical device you can't live without but those same people didn't buy a GL.iNet travel router when it was released six years ago. 100% Every UTR post in this sub over the past 2 months is summed up by this sentence.

Remember Kids: Travel Routers are Essential for Free Premium Hotel Wifi
Annoyingly I've been running into hotels with dead Ethernet ports. My most recent one, they had clearly renovated the room, as there were outlets and Ethernet ports located where I assume the desk used to be, but now the desk was moved to the other side of the room. Wouldn't have minded, since I wou

Slate AX working on and off, not sure what to do
Unfortunately can vouch for this. If you're here from a web search, get a different router. This is on top of the slate ax requiring 4A in which pretty much no battery pack supports. Other GL iNet travel routers are more versatile. Carrying a back up router is probably a good if you can afford it +

Using Gl.iNet GL-MT3000 router for home wifi?
I use a Slate AX as my home router and it’s wonderful. But here are a few things to consider: GL.iNet routers are really bad at converting USB tethering to WAN, especially the cheaper travel routers like the Beryl AX. It takes much more processing than Ethernet or repeater mode. I get 500 Mbps down

UniFi travel router
There are always competitor products with similar/better feature sets. If you're happy using a GL.iNet travel router of your choice, great, power to you. I was personally disappointed with my Mudi V2 despite leveraging all of its features; it was painfully slow to boot, unreliable, carrying the ethe

It's so tiny -- part 2
Well, I’m certainly no expert myself and I wasn’t even trying to test the functionality of the product. All I did was connect the UTR to my home network using Teleport (which is super easy) and then try accessing my NAS in a web browser using its hostname. This is something I do regularly when I’m c

Teradek iPad interference
DIT here. Avoid 2.4GHz on larger film set's. It conflicts with the Board Op’s wireless DMX and the 1AC’s FIZ hand units. Your best bet is to push your router into the Wi-Fi 6 band. Also, try narrowing your channel width to 20MHz or 40MHz; it’s easier to find a clean lane in a crowded spectrum that w

UTR travel case
I thought the whole point was the slim design, now it is just as bulky as a GL.iNET travel router

Work in progress
Nice! Edit: But, I would have planned more personally though. For one, the router doesn't need to be that big. I am currently running everything off of one of GL iNet's travel routers. My top most 1U on my rack personally is my network, the travel router as previously stated and a Ubiquiti 8 port Po
