I think our little Portal tribe is awesome and helpful. I forgot about my travel router. I use the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) and the price point is significantly lower than the Slate 7 aka Slate AX just curious as to why the Slate is preferred over the Opal

+1 for a GL.iNet travel router. The Beryl AX (MT-3000) is a great option and is currently on sale so it's only $76 shipped and it's worth every penny.

Have you looked at GL.iNets travel routers? Beryl AX is like $86 has WiFi 6 and a 2.5GB WAN port. It runs OpenWrt as well.
