I would not get a 25 year old active speaker. There are lots of options around the PMC result6 price point like the Genelec 8040 or Neumann KH150. Ascilab is also Korea based and worth looking into.

Hifi speakers are generally voiced or designed for distance listening. Get the largest speaker you can afford. Get the 8030 or 8040 if possible. That being said the ilouds have digital room eq correction built in afaik. The genelecs you mentioned don't have that.
