Just committed to the Vertical 2 from Garmin FR955. Things I’d like - Resume later feature, but I understand this is unlikely; Integration with a better weather service like Windy (including UV index and a precipitation radar visible in activity mode); Widget for Intervals.icu; distinction between v

Having switched from Garmin FR955, I’m so happy with my Vertical 2. Simple, better layouts, bigger and brighter screen (never thought I’d move away from MIP) and a smaller case. I’m drawing about 10.5% battery per day with about 14-18 hours of activities recorded each week, mostly with GPS on. Regul

I can't really answer the question, but I just ordered a Pace Pro after I've had two Forerunner 955 Solars die on me in the past 2.5 years. First time they sent me a replacement for like $100. This time it would've been $200 or so. Not paying $200 for a 4 year old watch that will last me a year. Gar

I've been having similar problems with my Forerunner 955 (not Solar) with the 23.20 upgrade. Have only just started looking for solutions and came across this thread. My watch had been prompting me to update software several times a day for a couple of weeks. I nearly always said yes, but it still n

Moved from Garmin FR955 to AWU3. I wanted cellular connectivity in my wrist to be able to take calls from my family and listen to audiobooks on long runs while not having to bring my phone. Other features that pulled me over are satellite connectivity for trail runs, being able to use Apple find my

Well, the problem with the form tracking I have is that I follow Garmin Training Plans and I like them a lot and brought me great results when running in asphalt… but now I’m running 100% on trails (have to) and there is were I see the issue. On top of that (that’s why I was referring to hardware is

I love my garmin, but honestly I don't even thing there is any corrolation between my sleep score and how I feel about might night. I had a polar watch several Apple watches and my garmin FR955 is so bad.

Nope. I'll probably go for Garmins Forerunner 955 Solar. It does everything I could want from it (Cisco also has no weekly alarms; so thats a bummer; I noticed that like 3 days after posting this), it works offline without the app while still keeping basically all functionality, has good battery lif

I’m all in on Garmin. It’s totally personal choice depending on what platform you are on and happy with, and what your goals are for its use. I went with Forerunner 955 solar over Apple explicitly for Triathlon and biofeedback 2 years ago (and wished I had done it sooner). Different models have diff

Try rolling back to an older firmware. You'll need to do some research to find which one... But Garmin puts their C team on the maintenance and testing branches of their code base once a device is out in the wild for a while and they tend to ruin battery life in the process. I had this happen on my
