Personally I would go for the Garmin between these two. The original Balance uses Amazfit's older sensor array which wasn't that accurate or great. Is there a reason why you won't consider the Balance 2? Also, look at the newly released Garmin Forerunner 170.

I just got myself a Garmin Forerunner 170 and it is superior to my PW in every way tbh, 10 day battery life and in depth health analysis swayed me.

If you surely want a watch then the Garmin Forerunner 170 is priced at 270, but can come to 200 during sale. Or you can go for the amazfit helio strap although the helio 2.0 is gonna launch soon or you can go with the fit bit air. These are options for faceless bands/straps if thats your thing. Dont
