Frustrated
No, that's just a problem with Suunto watches. But with any watch, if you want accurate data, you need a chest strap or arm band HRM. Garmins are a little better, but my old Fenix 7 failed to capture accurate HR the first time I used it for a race (5K). Lesson learned. Wrist-based just doesn't cut i

Fenix E has too little space to add North America topo map
Just return the E. It’s an insult to customers and you can get a fenix 7 pro or similar watches for less or the same which are miles better

Just got a Fenix 7 Pro no wifi
I didn't even know that Garmin released a F7 Pro without wifi. Looked it up and yep, they did. Aparently it was built for secure, restricted environments. I would honestly be taking it back and getting a full featured F7 Pro with wifi enabled

Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar (47 mm) or Polar Grit X2?
I had the Fenix 7 Pro and sold it for the Polar Grit X2 Pro. Reason: simplicity. Polar gives me exactly what I need without unnecessary features. The HRV/Orthostatic test with the H10 is accurate and useful for training decisions. With Garmin I always felt overwhelmed by functions I didn’t use. Also

Move to Polar?
I recently switched from garmin f7 to vantage v3 and i'm glad i did that. I just run, bike and swim, but i also like the recovery/night info and i don't like all the not needed -expensive- extra's. It's not a real smartwatch with tons of notifications and i'm happy about it. Just make the switch and

Bluetooth range?
The instinct 3 Bluetooth range is about the same as the fenix 7 but considerably worse than the instinct (1), instinct 2 and instinct crossover. Actually, the BT range of the instinct 3 is 'normal (to the lower end)', but the older instincts have 'excellent' BT range.

Bit disappointed in Fenix 8 (coming from Fenix 6+7)
I‘m also disappointed, coming from the 7. Some, at least for me important stuff doesn’t even work at all. Amazon Music for example cannot be registered to the watch. Garmin Support takes weeks now to figure it out. Seems to be a general problem with the fenix 8 MIPS in 47mm. Also maps+ doesn’t rende

Apex 4 vs Fenix 7X Pro Solar Sapphire???
Fenix 7 is over 3 years old, and definitely not receiving any more software updates. The Coros Apex 4 is band new and will continue receiving support and updates, plus it is much more responsive in terms of UI.

Can’t wait
I hope Coros adds a large font option to the Widgets. I read all the complaints that the widgets and notifications were hard to read, and I've only had the Pace Pro for 3 days, but that is my biggest complaint about the watch. My old Fenix 7 Pro had the same screen size, but seeing my min/max heart

Like I’m stupid, compare a 7 vs 8?
Pretty pathetic on garmin for that. I still have my f7 pro, but switched to awu recently. Been on Garmin connect for 10+ years, but i don’t care anymore. Feels good.
