Bit disappointed in Fenix 8 (coming from Fenix 6+7)
I‘m also disappointed, coming from the 7. Some, at least for me important stuff doesn’t even work at all. Amazon Music for example cannot be registered to the watch. Garmin Support takes weeks now to figure it out. Seems to be a general problem with the fenix 8 MIPS in 47mm. Also maps+ doesn’t rende

Like I’m stupid, compare a 7 vs 8?
Pretty pathetic on garmin for that. I still have my f7 pro, but switched to awu recently. Been on Garmin connect for 10+ years, but i don’t care anymore. Feels good.

Frustrated
I know. It happens. I even had to reboot my Vertical a couple of weeks ago to get the HR working again. Problem with that was, it didn't know the date since it couldn't sync with my phone. So now that run is logged back in 2023 or something. But since I don't really need HR data for my easy runs, I

Another Vertical 2 going back, unfortunately
Fair enough, and good question. No, I do not need a new device, but the feeling of a potential change is precipitated by a few things (in order of importance): I came to the Fenix by way of a FR 945. I have always missed the weight and lower profile, but had "upgraded" due to wanting sapphire glass

Cracked my Fenix 8 screen less than 24 hours in
I have the fenix 7 pro non-ss. Glass broke easily after a few months. It was in my pocket while leaning over a patient's bed, and was cracked when i took it out to wear it again. On the other hand my instinct 1 is still going strong with barley a scratch.

AWU3 vs Garmin Fenix 8 - losing my mind over this GAS spiral 😅
I recently switched from Fenix 8 to AWU3. Primarily due to following: Garmin has been innovative with F8 but the innovations have resulted in significant performance hits. The proc in the F8 is certainly dated and gets overwhelmed with several tasks putting a load on it. Although, the battery in F8

Bit disappointed in Fenix 8 (coming from Fenix 6+7)
I wrote off 2x F7 watches as a swimmer (ocean and pool). One was replaced out of warranty, the other still in warranty. Garmin knows it's a F7 issue.

Garmin Fenix 7s Pro Sapphire Solar on Sale for $450!
I just checked, I’m pretty skeptical of weights on garmins crappy website. Even if they do distinguish between with band and case only, something is off. I own the 965 and fenix 7 pro. Garmin lists the 965 at 53g vs 73g (50g case only) for the f7 pro. The f7 feels like a brick compared to the 965. I
