Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar. The F7 was the first with touchscreen, which makes using maps much easier. And, battery life is outstanding

Garmin Epix 2 vs Suunto Race 2
Are you sure about Garmin discontinuing the support for Epix 2? In my understanding they do not offer the new features for ”F7 line-up” buy do bring any essential security updates and bug fixes. Anyhow, I do understand your frustration towards Garmin as I’ve spied the conversations and updates about

Fenix 7 or 8 dilemma
Fenix 7 has rubber rings, so pressing buttons underwater, water can find its way in. Garmin does seem pretty good about dealing with it under warranty, however, the 8 has induction buttons so there is no holes for water to get through.

Fenix 8 Pro is useless...
Garmin traded my F7 SS for a F7 Pro Solar a few months ago due to software updates making it not sync with my stationary bike anymore. I feel like for my use case the pro lasts a bit longer than the SS did, but maybe it's just battery degradation differences. The latest software on the Pro also brok

WICH ONE
To summarize my experience: I also came from a Fenix 7, specifically the Sapphire Solar. I used it constantly, as I live in a mountainous area and really valued the map function. I wanted to try to survive without Garmin; they're incredibly expensive, and 90% of their app store consists of paid ap

Fenix 7 or 8 dilemma
I just sold my fenix 7s pro sapphire solar for a fenix 8. I was sick of MIPs and wanted amoled. I didn’t think it would be THAT big of an upgrade, but it was with some of the new updates to the 8 I hadn’t gotten to the 7. Primarily in running and it seems to have fixed some issues I had on my 7 with

Move to Fenix 7pro & strap
I upgraded from the 5+ to the 7 Pro SS and took the titanium DLC band with me and it does look great. Nice to know that you can take the band with you to your next Fenix down the road. I use the 5+ as a backup for when the 7 Pro is on the charger.

Stick with Apple Watch Series 10 or Move to Coros or Garmin
From Garmin -> Coros here:Did the switch out of interest: just to test the new brand, which is ~30% cheaper. Took Pace 3 as wanted to see how does the base model perform. My Garmin was Fenix 7S Solar. From what I see: - The build quality is very good, can be compared to Garmins - The sensors - also

Fenix 7x pro just updated to 23.18
After updating, I noticed that my 7X SS (non pro) has now a passcode lock function! I didn’t notice it before and it definitely didn’t have it a few updates ago. Not sure if they silently added it now or earlier. I’m surprised because in this plan, this addition was not planned https://garminrumors.
