The steaming on the Nuova Simonelli Oscar II is ridiculous
I only make 1 - 2 cups too. But I never have to wait for the steam to refill or all that I used to do with my Gaggia classic pro. I think 550ml will pull of a couple of cups no problems at all, at the end of the day I use a fraction of the side of my boiler, but I didn't have lots of options in my l

“A broken heart yet a wide smile” - Happy Friday!
The single tip one apparently helps a lot. I’ve been practicing mostly with a solution made of dishwashing liquid and water, and though I can get a decent foam on the solution, the GCP fails to stretch it which causes problems when practicing Latte art. When I use GCP to steam milk it still gets hal

Does water steaming change things really?
OK I have thoughts! So I've done this in two places:- At home with a Gaggia Classic Pro, where it took forever to steam the water hot enough- On a commercial machine, where it took approximately 5 seconds At home, it did make a difference! My theory is that it took longer, infused more air, and then

Should I upgrade my Gaggia or go for a Gaggimate?
A Rancilio Silvia with a Gaggimate is the direction I went. A little easier to work inside of than the Gaggia just because of space, and the steam wand is better by default. If you can find one second hand I like it more than my brothers Gaggia classic pro but I am biased (: good luck OP

Got the wrong Gaggia , keep or return it? [300euro]
Wow that’s the price I remembered when I was browsing 4 years ago. Now going for 995$. I like everything about it , the style , the components , articulating steam wand , not leaking hopefully , brass boiler , 300cc vs. 100cc of the GCP, you have to buy so much stuff for the Gaggia to make it up to

Anybody frequently making milk drinks on a single boiler? [$1500]
I had a Gaggia Classic and then upgraded to an HX machine a few years ago. It's significantly easier to make back to back or more milk drinks. I don't even think about it, whereas getting it right on the GCP was a chore (that said, it had a very small boiler- a larger one would have made things easi

How do you "push" the latte art?
I'm working with a Gaggia Classic Pro which arguably has less steam power than your Bambino Plus. There's so many variables: I'm working with a 15oz milk pitcher into an 8oz cup with 2% milk. A few things that worked for me:- don't stretch the milk too long. I found that too much aeration causes eve

Steamers
Why don’t you like the bellman? I found I made better steamed milk with that than my gaggia classic pro after I got my technique down.

Steam wand upgrade
https://espressolane.uk/product/gaggia-cool-touch-pre-2015-classic-201819-classic-pro-to-cool-touch-ssteel-one-hole-steam-wand/ I did the upgrade, but coming from the Bambino Plus, before the GCP e24, steaming is still sub par IMO, even with the GaggiaMate. I am going to get a Flair Wizard or a Meti
