Never owned an espresso machine before. Got this as a gift. Am I in over my head?
Bianca is much easier to use than a Gaggia Classic Pro. Start by reading the instruction manual. That will tell you what the knobs and buttons do. Then look at some YouTube videos on how to dial in espresso. The EAF guide is also a great resource for learning how: https://espressoaf.com/guides/begin

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]
I’ve had my Lelit Mara X V2 for almost a year and love it. No issues and I pull a consistent shot every day. I’ll turn it on while getting ready for work and it’s ready in about 15 minutes. I had a modded Gaggia Classic Pro before but felt like I spent too much time tinkering and troubleshooting it.

Lelit Glenda PlusT, Gaggia Classic E24 or Rancilio Silvia V6 as a base for modding with Gaggimate Pro?
I have seen teardowns of both the Profitec and Rancilio - being a larger size with significantly more room to work with - the installation sound be much easier than the GCP E24. In the Gaggia you can only access from a confined space from above.

First espresso machine for busy resident [$300-$600]
For your situation, I wouldn't get a Gaggia Classic Pro right now. It's a lot of tinkering, which I enjoy a ton, but I have the time for it. I do have a smart plug on it to warm up in the morning before I'm up though. I agree that nepresso is too expensive per cup (besides my loathing for Nestle in

Decision - Profetic Go would you Buy / Buy Again as 1st prosumer?
FWIW I’ve owned multiple Gaggias. The “coffee” years and year ago. It was fantastic. I treated it terribly but it still lasted over 10 years. I had another one that was more automatic and lasted 1 year. Then I got a Classic pro. It has its good points for an entry level machine. I had to fix it so m

Upgrading from Breville Barista Express
Tbh if you are going from the barista express to a gaggia without modding you may feel it's a downgrade. You have 3 buttons. 1 turns it on, 1 pumps water and 1 turns the steam on. Thats it. Everything is manual with no shot timer. That being said it will out last most options as its a simple machine

No plastic internals
The Gaggia Classic Pro E24 has an 'entry' price, but not necessarily considered a good 'beginner' machine.

Mother’s Day gift recs [$200]
No judgement from me, sorry for any misunderstanding. I got mine for $30 second hand and used it for like 5 years. I pretty much only made lattes though because the espresso from it is inconsistent and impossible to dial in. I learned a lot on that machine which justified the upgrade (to a second ha

What would I upgrade to? [$500-800]
Yes haha I have had it for several months now. I’ve also used its main competitors (Bambino Plus and Gaggia Classic Pro) and can confidently say unless convenience is a top priority, or you’re certain you want to try a Gaggiuino mod, the Legato is the best around.

Hitting 10 bar at 1¼ turns on flow control [Profitec Drive]
I came out of an unmodified gaggia classic pro 2003 and so the coffee the profitec produces from the same bean is overall better, but to be honest, the best I get (according to my taste) is using a high flow basket with a manual lever Flair 58 electric machine especially for espressos. In terms of c
