Without any bias, with all facts considered, do boiler espresso machines produce better coffee than thermoblock machines?

Inversely, look at the Gaggia classic pro. Not relatively expensive, but still a lot of money for a machine that you still need to do a bunch of little tricks or a rather costly mod to make sure your water temperature is adequate.

Tried to build the ultimate mid-budget setup... What would you change?

I’ve had a sette 270 for years. After upgrading my Gaggia classic pro to a dual boiler, the shot quality is night and day. So assuming you get a good grind, the machine makes a massive difference, way more than people on here would have you believe. It actually shocked me how different the shot qual

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]

I’ve had my Lelit Mara X V2 for almost a year and love it. No issues and I pull a consistent shot every day. I’ll turn it on while getting ready for work and it’s ready in about 15 minutes. I had a modded Gaggia Classic Pro before but felt like I spent too much time tinkering and troubleshooting it.

Lelit Glenda PlusT, Gaggia Classic E24 or Rancilio Silvia V6 as a base for modding with Gaggimate Pro?

I have seen teardowns of both the Profitec and Rancilio - being a larger size with significantly more room to work with - the installation sound be much easier than the GCP E24. In the Gaggia you can only access from a confined space from above.

I own both a Gaggimate Pro Gaggia Classic and a Lelit Bianca – here's what surprised me

Accessories. The E61 ecosystem is huge – bottomless portafilters, flow control devices, shower screens, you name it. Gaggia accessories exist but it's a smaller world. "you name it" is pretty vague. Do you mean the total number of E61 accessories is vastly greater than for the GCP or the number of c

First espresso machine for busy resident [$300-$600]

For your situation, I wouldn't get a Gaggia Classic Pro right now. It's a lot of tinkering, which I enjoy a ton, but I have the time for it. I do have a smart plug on it to warm up in the morning before I'm up though. I agree that nepresso is too expensive per cup (besides my loathing for Nestle in

The New Gaggia Classic Up- Thoughts?

Serious question. I have a modded GCP. If you don’t want to mod a Gaggia, why not get a better machine like a lelit? I was on whole latte love and they had PIDs and all these features and look cool and are about $600.. I thought the whole point of Gaggia was they are cheap and we can mod them.

Help buying first espresso set up [£1000] budget for machine and grinder

Used gcp and gaggiuino if you want longevity & mod fun. Otherwise gaggia is expensive for what you get. I'd rather a profetic. & Upgrade later

Gaggia Classic Pro vs Profitec Go [1500€]

I have a Go and have used my friend's Gaggia Classic. Night and day difference. Even if you mod the heck out of the GCP it doesn't have features the P-Go has.

Grinder upgraded. Have the itch to upgrade the SBP, what would you go to without dropping £1000+ that would see a significant difference?

Robot Cafelat + Dualit CIno (Costco often have the Cino available for around £170) so that would be about £500 all in. I have this combo (Robot, Cino and Niche Zero) and it is far, far better and more repeatable than my Gaggia Classc Pro that I since gave up. Getting an additional basket makes back
