Without any bias, with all facts considered, do boiler espresso machines produce better coffee than thermoblock machines?
A 50ml boiler for 40ml shots will do that... GCP was good 15 years ago when there was $400 Gaggia or the much more expensive 4-figure E61 group option. Now we've got loads of good machines to choose from.

Tried to build the ultimate mid-budget setup... What would you change?
I’ve had a sette 270 for years. After upgrading my Gaggia classic pro to a dual boiler, the shot quality is night and day. So assuming you get a good grind, the machine makes a massive difference, way more than people on here would have you believe. It actually shocked me how different the shot qual

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]
I’ve had my Lelit Mara X V2 for almost a year and love it. No issues and I pull a consistent shot every day. I’ll turn it on while getting ready for work and it’s ready in about 15 minutes. I had a modded Gaggia Classic Pro before but felt like I spent too much time tinkering and troubleshooting it.

Gaggia Classic Pro vs Profitec Go [1500€]
After a year and a half, the steam valve on my Gaggia Classic Pro started squeaking. Repair? Impossible, only replacement. Sure, Gaggia is selling a new machine, but you ultimately have to consider the manufacturing quality as well. Or you could just focus on the price and the look.

Got the wrong Gaggia , keep or return it? [300euro]
Wow that’s the price I remembered when I was browsing 4 years ago. Now going for 995$. I like everything about it , the style , the components , articulating steam wand , not leaking hopefully , brass boiler , 300cc vs. 100cc of the GCP, you have to buy so much stuff for the Gaggia to make it up to

Decision - Profetic Go would you Buy / Buy Again as 1st prosumer?
FWIW I’ve owned multiple Gaggias. The “coffee” years and year ago. It was fantastic. I treated it terribly but it still lasted over 10 years. I had another one that was more automatic and lasted 1 year. Then I got a Classic pro. It has its good points for an entry level machine. I had to fix it so m

Upgrading from Breville Barista Express
Tbh if you are going from the barista express to a gaggia without modding you may feel it's a downgrade. You have 3 buttons. 1 turns it on, 1 pumps water and 1 turns the steam on. Thats it. Everything is manual with no shot timer. That being said it will out last most options as its a simple machine

Delonghi Dedica EC885 vs Gaggia Espresso Evolution Deluxe – first espresso machine [200$]
Some caution to be had there though with used Gaggias 2023–2024 Gaggia Classic Pro Evo and "boilergate", flakes in the water Any gaggia classic pre-E24 has an aluminum boiler, and aluminum corrodes much easier than brass/steel. For example traditional descaler "Dezcal" will corrode it badly. Hard wa

Help buying first espresso set up [£1000] budget for machine and grinder
Used gcp and gaggiuino if you want longevity & mod fun. Otherwise gaggia is expensive for what you get. I'd rather a profetic. & Upgrade later
