I sold my x1000vi for an x-e5, mostly because I wanted to change lenses, but I'm actually liking the x-e5 better in most ways. IMO it fixes the biggest issue with Fujifilm cameras if you engage with film sims/recipes.... it lets you save your own custom recipes separate from custom C profiles. This

I have a Sony a6100, Fujifilm x100vi, and a Ricoh GRIII. I usually bring the Sony and Fuji for traveling or doing photo walks. I love my Fuji and I won’t give it up, I love the film simulations and using the viewfinder/control dials. But the GRIII is an absolute beast and comes with me almost everyw

You have come to the wrong conclusion that the X100VI and the X-E5 are fundamentally the same, IMO. They have more similarities in terms of hardware and specs, such as size, build and sensor technology, but once you look at them more holistically, you will see that they are intended for very differe

I'd get a current gen (X-Processor 5) camera because of image processing improvements, autofocus and film sims. I think with the 5th gen there came Reala Ace which is a really nice and versatile film sim. You could check out the X-T30 III since it's on the cheaper end of the current generation but s

I guess OP just needs to prioritise: Want film sim SooC? Then Fujifilm. Want (fairly) compact? Then X100VI or X-E5. Want interchangeable lenses? Then X-T5 or X-E5. Want something that doesn’t feel like a toy? Then X100VI or X-T5. 🤷♂️

I’m not sure what aspects of the dial setup on the X100VI you were referring to, but if it was about the hybrid shutter/ISO dial: No, it’s also found on the X-Pro3, X100V, X100F, and a bunch of the GFX cameras. The rest of the dials is commonly found in many other Fujifilm camera bodies. Since you m
