Or conversely how many bad shots you see taken with a brand new gear. Remember not too long ago a guy shared some amazing shots from an xt10 and it convinced me to sell my Xt30ii and pick up an xt20

some scratches are great, it prevents you from babying the camera :D. only thing that is important is if the sensor is kept clean and potential dents. i have an xt10 with a crack in the bottom and has been operating fine for 3 years (might just be luck)

Upgrading a 10 yr old body is totally valid. And not GAS in my opinion. If you have the means, I say do it. Especially since you already have lenses/batteries and all you really need are the camera body and some new sd cards. The new sensors are really great. You’d also be expanding the film sim cap

Yeah, they dropped the ball big time. An XT10 will come out one of these days and that will probably be the end of the gap they need to fill technologically speaking (which is huge).

Just got one about an hour ago. Same issue. Loosened 2 of the 3 screws in back holding the black plastic plate in place and heard/felt something move in Lens. Tightened them back up tho not as tight as they were. Put on Camera and works PERFECT now. This thread saved me PITA of returning and grabbin
