FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video
Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

newbie need some help
My recommendation for Fuji X-H2S still stays, seriously, check some reviews on youtube, you won’t regret it, it can legit be your only camera for both. As for lenses it is hard for me to recommend anything specific because what I do with my camera could be completely different for what you plan. My

Fujifilm xh2s. I own an Alexa Mini and I swear this tiny hybrid camera is the closest to it that also takes photos.

Long Beach 2025
At the time, I was using a Fujifilm XT-50 with a 55-200 f/3.5-4.8 and 16-50 f/2.8-4.8. I’ve since upgraded to the Fuji X-H2S and added a 70-300 f/4-5.6, and I love both.

First steps in bird photography
Sure. I have a Fujifilm X-H2S. Most of these were taken with the Fuji 500mm f5.6. It's a nice camera and a wonderful lens. The bird detection autofocus is mostly pretty good.
