Alpha 50 Evo

Have you ever used a 6” studio monitor? If so, how would it compare to something like the LSX II? I currently use a pair of Focal Alpha 50 and they are good, but I wouldn’t say I’m blown away. To be fair, my office isn’t a treated room.

Used to have Yamaha HS5s which were perfect for mixing stuff that will mostly be listened to on portable devices/headphones because they have nice midrange detail. I’d personally look for studio monitors, whether front ported or sealed. Most have controls on the back to trim/boost the HF and LF as well, which can be really helpful in compromised spaces. I have, and can recommend, Focal Alpha 50 Evo’s, which I’m using pretty close to a wall with my desktop PC s
