Kånken

I used a fjällräven kånken (a small backpack) (with my first) and I plan on doing that with our second, but our first child is old enough to use his mini kånken for things that he needs to carry around. Best thing I ever got was a Fjällräven Kånken. You don't have to get this exact brand, but a rigid, solid backpack where the fit is tight and allows the pack to sit firmly against your back is a must; looking at this brand will give you an idea of what to look for. My dad's friend bought one of the first editions of a Fjällräven Kånken when they where first released in the 70s. It's still as good as new!

A similar bog that also works: Fjällräven. The small crossbody kanken , which I also have in a mustard yellow, is very similar! The front pocket is smaller but the pens could fit inside or in the back.

Choose a backpack. After a while your back and shoulders will thank you.I really love Fjällräven Kånken. It is my go to backpack. It is a good looking backpack that (for me) really is easy on the back.

I’ve been a fan of Fjällräven stuff for many years and I don’t remember ever seeing a discontinued color of Kånken come back. The only exception is on Fjällräven’s Preloved marketplace; I read somewhere that a lot of the bags sold directly by Fjällräven are good as new and I’ve seen some old colors

I have one of those tiny backpacks (fjällräven Kånken mini). It has served me well over the years and it allows me to carry my sketchbook, art supplies and/or (smaller) crochet projects.
