Farewell Charge 5

Im 11 years a fitbit user. Fourth Charge. They wear out, I buy a new one because there is always a deal. I charge it for 10 minutes while in the shower and it never dies. I do miss the web page , but other than that it is a great piece of tech

Is Fitbit still going away?

No, it is owned by Google now. No more fitbit website, it a Google website instead. They keep tweaking the app, but it seems their customer service is lacking?... I have quickly searched and found answers for troubleshooting different things. Lots of people still using their fitbits are are happy wi

Does anyone still love their fitbit?

I just replaced my Fitbit Charge 5 with a Charge 6. It's a data thing too for me. Ten years worth of step data and earned badges give me a strange sense of comfort. The product reliability was fine too. I feel like I did everything I could do to stay healthy. 🤞

Well, I'm done with fitbit. Was great while it lasted.

I don't trust anything to be waterproof. The material that makes things waterproof tends to degrade over time. I don't think this is a Fitbit only problem. Aside from the occasional spurt of rain, I've managed to keep my Charge 5 dry since I bought it three years ago and haven't had a single issue.

Charge 5 replacement

When my Charge 5 died the exchange rate was bad. So I bought a Xiaomi Band 9, for 1/5th the price of the Charge 6. I was with Fitbit for 12 years and I'm glad I tried something else. My Fitbit's usually lasted 3 years / 3 typhoon seasons. So for the price difference I figured even if it only lasted

I want to apologize

I’ve had my charge 6 since 2023 and have never had a problem. I’ve replaced the band recently, but that’s all the problems I’ve had. My charge 5 went out at 2 years. The only issues I have with Fitbit itself is the new features like: Cardio Load, Daily readiness, ect.

Garrrgghhhhhh!!

Yes it is the Vivoactive 4S-a hand me down from my daughter. It tracks calories burned all day on the home page of the app. I haven’t got it completely set up but I am liking it so far. It seems to be very comparable to my Charge 5 that just died so far, without the app issues and other problems wit
