Farewell Charge 5
Im 11 years a fitbit user. Fourth Charge. They wear out, I buy a new one because there is always a deal. I charge it for 10 minutes while in the shower and it never dies. I do miss the web page , but other than that it is a great piece of tech

Is Fitbit still going away?
No, it is owned by Google now. No more fitbit website, it a Google website instead. They keep tweaking the app, but it seems their customer service is lacking?... I have quickly searched and found answers for troubleshooting different things. Lots of people still using their fitbits are are happy wi

Does anyone still love their fitbit?
I just replaced my Fitbit Charge 5 with a Charge 6. It's a data thing too for me. Ten years worth of step data and earned badges give me a strange sense of comfort. The product reliability was fine too. I feel like I did everything I could do to stay healthy. 🤞

Watch or Fitbit
Pixel Watch 4 I used a Fitbit Charge 5 for about a year and a half, and it worked very well. I used it primarily to track walking, so no real focus on the fitness features. I loved the vibrating alarms and notifications. It was slim and lightweight, with the battery clocking in at well over a week w

Well, I'm done with fitbit. Was great while it lasted.
I don't trust anything to be waterproof. The material that makes things waterproof tends to degrade over time. I don't think this is a Fitbit only problem. Aside from the occasional spurt of rain, I've managed to keep my Charge 5 dry since I bought it three years ago and haven't had a single issue.

Fitbit Inspire 3 vs Xiaomi Smart Band 9
I used Fitbit for 12 years, mostly the Charge line, and I've used Xiaomi Band 9 for 1 year. As a new user, ignore complaints by old users. People like me complaining about Fitbit, and Xiaomi people that were using Bands under 6 complaining about Xiaomi ... A lot of that is because stuff changes. Xia

Small afib detecting watch?
I learned I had afib from Fitbit Charge 5 after several warnings and diagnostic work up. I bought an Apple 9 Watch which does ECGs to track afib. AN EP/cardiologist diagnosed afib from an ECG on my IPhone taken on Apple Watch 9. You need a device that takes ECGs that can be viewed by physician———sin

Charge 5 replacement
When my Charge 5 died the exchange rate was bad. So I bought a Xiaomi Band 9, for 1/5th the price of the Charge 6. I was with Fitbit for 12 years and I'm glad I tried something else. My Fitbit's usually lasted 3 years / 3 typhoon seasons. So for the price difference I figured even if it only lasted

Daily Simple Questions Thread - April 15, 2026
Fitbit Charge 5 does all of that (there is a newer one, dunno about that one) for free. There is a subscription of course but you don’t have to buy it to get the features you listed.

Fitness tracker for someone who doesnt want a fitness tracker
This is an old photo I made of some of the more bracelet style wristbands I've bought for my tracker. (I was price checking Japan vs USA Amazon, before visiting the USA. Gotta buy the stuff that costs less in the USA.) So regardless of whatever you might buy, make sure it has a removable strap, and
