I think it’s important to give them good food and plenty of walks. It is easy for them to get lazy (mine can be stubborn getting out of bed or off the couch). I’ve also had a Fi dog collar on mine for nearly his entire life and it counts his steps and tells me how long it’s been since he’s last gone
