I want a GPS tracker for my Brittany Spaniel. Any recommendations?
garmin pro 550 plus & alpha tt25 Worth it for piece of mind. We use it backpacking. No app required, gps on handheld shows an arrow pointing to collar and distance This works in the back country, away from cell and wifi. There's not many options if thats what youre looking for

New to Hunting, what e-collar would you recommend?
That collar is probably fine assuming it's waterproof. I believe e collar technologies is a bit less popular with the hunting crowds than they are with pet people. 0.5 miles is about 800 yards, but it will be less effective with obstructions. That said - my logic - with all the time, effort, care, e

Training help?
At 14 months their prey drive is peaking. Just be consistent, go back to using a long line for a little. If youre doing hunt training and bird work you are no stranger to e collars. You might need to up the level, ive seen some gsp's wear a 2nd collar around their waist. I highly recommend the alpha

Dogtra vs. Garmin
Used both. Dogtra was good if I only needed gps. It was clunky for any training aspect. Personally I switched to Garmin pro 550 plus. Training first, gos second paired with Garmin watch. Gives me the best of both worlds. Real world easy training with out looking at a screen and solid gps tied to my

tracking collar rec
It really depends on your budget. If you want something premium, then Garmin Alpha 10 might be one of the better options on the market. But you have to consider a price of $400 for the handheld, plus some $200 for the collar. What you get is a compact device that fits in your pocket and points you t

New to Hunting, what e-collar would you recommend?
It has basically the same capability as the pro 550 plus in that it's got an arrow pointing at the dogs but the user experience with the buttons is worse. There are some improved functions like putting a dog's name into the handheld and "starting a hunt" so you can track your activity, mostly just t

E-Collar suggestions.
I use the Garmin pro 550 plus and with two tt25 collars. These were great. Have 9 Mile range. The display on the transmitter shows you what direction and how far they are. There's a beep, a buzz and a bunch of different stimulation settings. Honestly, I rarely use stimulation anymore as they come ru

Garmin 550 Pro and Tractive?
My two cents. Garmin is hands down the best GPS. The dogtra is a better collar. Garmin low 1 if i activate it in my hand I can feel it. The dogtra comes with lower settings that your dog can feel, but you can't. I have a pro 550 plus and the gps made it worth every penny. I use a completely differen

Tracking and Training Collar
I use the garmin pro 550 plus. Its easier as a training device than the alphas in my opinion.
