Alternative to Garmin Alpha?

I have the alpha 300 series. I like it, never had an issue or glitch, maps sucks, but have onX on the phone. Garmin inreach built in is a nice touch, but I use a mini inreach. Tested out the strength of the antenna, I live in a thick wooded forest and sent a friend with the collar while I sat at hom

My first GPS - what to buy?

Alpha 300 with tt25. Any other answer is wrong. Pair it with a Garmin watch if you want too

Alpha 10 vs Alpha 300

Yes by in my opinion it does way more than what you need for 3x the price. Unless you’re running 4 or more dogs at once it’s just not necessary. Garmin makes this equipment with hounding in mind not birddogs. Any of these receivers connect to a smartphone and you can the Garmin explore app to show y

E Collar Question / Recommendations Needed

Garmin ALL the way!!! I’ve been working with dogs for over 20 years and tried several different brands! I started running a Garmin Alpha 300 paired with the TT25 collars a couple of years ago and I regret not using them sooner!!! 100% worth the investment for a pile of reasons!!!

Help choosing and ecollar/GPS

Alpha 300i with TT25s here. I have two Britts, but routinely hunt with other guys. We are all in the Garmin 3xx / TTxx universe, so we can see each others dogs. It's great when someone's battery dies or a controller malfunctions. I've had no problems keeping up with 5 dogs at once on my Garmin...tha

Tracking system recommendations

If you’re a Garmin guy, look at the Pro550+ instead of an Alpha set up. Additionally, for less than an Alpha 300, you could look at the 200i or 200+. If you don’t need the maps in your handheld, the pro550+ is the best value for the money. The pathfinder 2 is a good option as well, we sell a bunch o

Gear questions: anyone trade in a Garmin pro 550 with lion country supply; and any reason not to upgrade to an alpha 200I?

If Garmin would set aside their ego and team up with onx, I’d pay extra to leave my phone in the truck if I could see property boundaries on my alpha 300. But I have to bring my phone with so I don’t trespass. IMO the map on the alpha is useless for anything I do

E Collar Question / Recommendations Needed

I have a Garmin 550 pro plus and an alpha 10. I got the 550 when I started running more that one dog at a time. I got the Alpha 10 when my griff was a pup and I only really wanted tracking. The alpha 10 is okay if you just want tracking and to use the occasional tone or correction but it is pretty h

ECollar Recommendation

I have a alpha 100 I got used and ran it for years just upgraded to the alpha 300 and it’s way better but even the 550 pro plus can be linked to a garmin watch, now I like the 300 cause if I down a bird can’t find it I’ll put a way point down come back through with the dog on the way back to the tru
