[Release] Fi releases Fi Ultra - the first tracker powered by T-Satellite with Starlink - AMA
Ok so when camping in a remote area for 4 or 5 days without electricity, youre saying it wont last? Also its like an addition to the regular fi tracker, not a replacement? This would be what I was looking for because me and my boy are always hiking and camping in remote areas but trying to keep trac

GPS Dog Fence for Multiple Dogs
I will forever recommend Fi collars. They only do GPS though and quite honestly, if your dogs are going through the effort to get out of a physical fence, they’re not going to care about a wireless fence. All tracking collars will have their pros and cons. Fi is not as quick to report a dog out of b

Updated step tracking?
In another thread about this there's a pinned comment stating they know they messed up and are correcting the issue. On my 50 lb dog's 2.5 mile walk last night he got 1.5k steps, did the math and each of his "steps" were 9 ft. See pinned comment here https://www.reddit.com/r/FiDogCollar/s/25bNDF2Ka1

Update on the Ultra
We returned it for those reasons. Can’t use Fi app without cell service, thus can’t find dog if no cell service. We tried it on a hike through light/moderate tree cover and it did not work. Other gps devices (a Fitbit with standalone gps and also iPhone using satellite messaging) did work in the loc

Five month old Cattle Dog/Husky mix. We’re in trouble haha
Air tags don't make a good substitute for a proper GPS collar because they rely on phones being around them to function. If you're in an area that doesn't have a lot of phones, then you won't find your dog. And even if you are in an area with a lot of iPhones around, that doesn't guarantee you will

UPDATE: After 8 days, Joey the missing rough collie, has been found
Tractive was something I really looked into, but my parents ordered Fi since we’ve already had a Fi collar on one of our dogs and it's worked very well for us

Tracking collar recs?
We have Fi collars on our dogs but they’re not my favorite. Once got an alert that our dog had escaped and was running through the neighborhood but was actually at home the whole time - very worrisome as I was not at home when I got the alert and rushed home to search the neighborhood for him. I’ve

Rooftop tent first time with dog
And an air tag will only work if other people with phones are near the dog. There are a few actual GPS collars out there now, like Fi, that would be more reliable for dispersed camping.

Regular client asked me to cancel another booking for double pay
It’s the way the collar works for reliability. The F1 collar specifically, if you’re not connected to the homebase, the collar on the dog does not read the same information. For example, mapping and tracking routes. Most people with these collars are very dedicated to tracking, even when they are wa

Upgrade from mini to 3 and costs?
I own both. Mini and 3+.Which extra features are you talking about? There are absolutely no difference. And the mini connected to a Fi base, the battery lasts up to 3 months.I initially got the 3+, got replaced for a new one, and for the headache they sent me the mini as a “gift”I’ve switched a few
