DF54 vs Fellow Opus Gen 2

I would never take fellow up on their word without actual product experience. Seen their trackrecord a bit and would not be suprised if the Opus gen 2 has a even bigger retention than the first gen lol

Frustrations with DF64 gen 2

My Fellow Opus retains about 2 grams per grind. I have to beat it out I am talking like body slam it to get .3 short of my initial grind amount. I have successfully managed my anger in the morning by beating my grinder silly every morning at least two separate times multiple beatings per usage. I am

Married with a Machine? [€1000]

I went with a Profitec Go and Eureka Mignon grinder and feel like I made a great entry without needing to upgrade any time soon. For me, PID was a must to reduce sources of frustration and thereby Profitec Go (on discount) was most sensible if I wasn't going to add it myself on a silvia or gaggia. W

Best coffee grinder in 2026 for home? My Budget $100–$300

This!! I had the same experience. The mess and the retention was a nightmare. When my customers ask for recommendations Fellow opus it's a big nope from me.

Bambino + DF54 - Best bang for my buck first station?

I have a Fellow Opus. I haven’t owned anything else and the coffee is good ish. It makes a mess and grounds build up like crazy. I can’t speak on any other grinder but know you’ll be cleaning that thing twice a week inside and out.

Friendly reminder that every grinder has 0% retention… if you hit it hard enough

Is the Baratza encore esp bad for retention? I have the fellow opus, so I assume anything would be an upgrade in terms of retention lol

Opus Gen 2 from Fellow Coffee

I don't trust Fellow, having used both the Opus V1 and Ode V2. Their anti-static features both failed after a few months.

DF54 vs Fellow Opus Gen 2

I have the misfortune of owning 2 Fellow products (Opus and Stagg) and absolutely hate both of them. As far as the Opus goes, the inner burs have been a repeat issue (Fellow has had to send me 2 separate replacements), retention is a major issue, cleaning is a headache, dialing in with the inner rin

A month in, it’s already getting out of hand 🤣

I had a fellow opus, but the retention issues drove me crazy so I returned it… I just use a cheap manual grinder 🤣

Best coffee grinder in 2026 for home? My Budget $100–$300

Since you're mostly pour over with the occasional latte, you don't need an espresso-forward grinder. That narrows it down a lot. If you want electric and simple: Baratza Encore ESP. It's not exciting, but it works every day without drama. Parts are easy to replace, support is great (multiple people
