Starbucks CEO defends $9 coffee says ‘it’s not a $10 coffee and you get a premium experience’
I'm a Flair user. I started with the Kingrinder K6, but I have a Fellow Opus that I use at home now. I know the Kingrinders go on sale pretty frequently on Amazon. The Opus used to as well, but it seems it's being phased out for the Opus 2. It looks like some retailers like Macy's have it on closeou

Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]
I started with a manual KINGrinder K6, very affordable for what it offers. After a year, I got tired of hand grinding, so was using it with a drill for another year, which is a great conversation starter with the guests, haha. Then I found the Fellow Opus in a discount for 150 EUR shipped, and am ve

Electric Conical Burr Grinder for a Beginner [Flexible Budget: $200-900]
the fellow opus gen 2 is a total redesign from the fairly poorly received gen 1 with great espresso capabilities and the grind range to handle all the way to pour over. it doesn't ship till mid May but we have a demo unit at work and it's been really impressive for the price point of $199.

Best espresso grinder for $500 or less? [$500]
I second this, I also came from a fellow opus and the retention and more intuitive adjustment dial have been great improvements

Opus 2 Best Buy
I got a chance to play around with one of these at a fellow es1 class. let me tell you, for $200, there is nothing on the market even close to it. the stepless adjustment is maybe a touch too firm, but the action is smooth and its the right balance between dialing in to exactly where you want it, bu

Grinder/upgrade recommendations [$300] CAD
I’m in a similar situation, looking to upgrade from my manual grinder for my work setup. I’ve got a DF64 at home and it’s pretty good, but it’s a bit out of my price range. It’s also a bit annoying with clogging, suffers a bit in the clarity department and maybe most importantly, it’s a bit finnicky

Advice needed for homebarista setup [>1000 euro]
I had a gaggia classic evo pro and a fellow opus grinder for some time now, and it worked perfectly fine. Dialing in was sometimes not that easy, but you'll figure it out I'm shure. Also there are a lot of accessories available for the gaggia wich made it quite cool for me :) Bought it on Black Frid

Opus 2 good enough for ES1?
In this listing on Sur La Table they have a short video. Not much there but shows this must be getting close to release and just shows adjustment mechanism etc. Seems like what the Opus should’ve been to start. https://www.surlatable.com/product/fellow-opus-grinder-gen-2/10152072
