This!! I had the same experience. The mess and the retention was a nightmare. When my customers ask for recommendations Fellow opus it's a big nope from me.

I have a Fellow Opus. I haven’t owned anything else and the coffee is good ish. It makes a mess and grounds build up like crazy. I can’t speak on any other grinder but know you’ll be cleaning that thing twice a week inside and out.

I've read awhile back that the original Opus wasn't meant for espresso, I think it was even on a support page, can't remember At the time I considered getting one of the Lagom ones, but went with another. Might replace with the Opus 2 just for convenience (manual to electric grinder, already have th
