Help me choose a coffee grinder!! [$500 budget]
Had a Fellow Opus, don’t recommend it. The opus is all plastic, for espresso the micro adjustments are unnecessarily complicated and shortly after a year it kicked the bucket and refused to work. Local repair shops have been unable to get the part that got fried. The Ode is pourover or immersion onl

What is the Best Espresso Machine for daily use as of today 2026?
Don’t get an all in one machine. Budget for a separate grinder. The Baratza Encore ESP is probably the cheapest mechanical espresso grinder that has decent longevity, repairability, and value for money. Some will recommend the Fellow Opus 2 at a similar price but I personally can’t recommend Fellow

Frustrations with DF64 gen 2
My Fellow Opus retains about 2 grams per grind. I have to beat it out I am talking like body slam it to get .3 short of my initial grind amount. I have successfully managed my anger in the morning by beating my grinder silly every morning at least two separate times multiple beatings per usage. I am

Fear of missing out
I’m sorry to break it to you but the materialistic yearning never ends. 😬😣 Not everyone may be prepared to admit it, but — and forgive me for using a vulgar term — The consumeristic gooning is part of the whole dance. You have only to merely abide in cognitive tension between: Contentment/satisfacti

Is the Niche Zero still worth it in 2026?
probably the price difference, though i have df83v and it's the best piece of tech i own, the upgrade from fellow opus (1st gen) was astronomical. I don't think df64 would be anywhere near as different from it as fellow opus was, after a certain point the increase in price starts to give you diminis

My new entry level (budget) setup.
That's my set up but I did not fare well with the Opus v1. I went through 3 of them, 2 were replaced by Fellow for free - their customer service is great - but after it started having issues a 3rd time (in 2 years) I'm trying a different one - Turin DF54. About the same price point, hopefully more d

My new coffee station
Thank you. It’s the Tuni G3 grinder. It was Recommended by a friend. We previously had the Fellow Opus grinder but it just didn’t work out for me

Does the extraction look good? Is this how its supposed to come out. New to home coffee scene
Yeah, I have the fellow opus grinder, but it’s not the best however it does work. Also, I just don’t believe in shark vacuums or Dyson vacuums anymore. I’ve had basically all of them and they just don’t hold up as well as something like a Miele or Sebo. I did have a lot of other ninja products thoug

DF54 vs Fellow Opus Gen 2
I have the misfortune of owning 2 Fellow products (Opus and Stagg) and absolutely hate both of them. As far as the Opus goes, the inner burs have been a repeat issue (Fellow has had to send me 2 separate replacements), retention is a major issue, cleaning is a headache, dialing in with the inner rin

Fellow Espresso Series 1 - first impressions
Agree. Fellow products look great on my countertop. But the Opus grinder clogged terribly on espresso grinds, and their customer service was equally terrible. The electric kettle is good enough for my kids and me, but it would be nice to have more ability to fine-tune the temps. And so on. I was ini
