Married with a Machine? [€1000]
I went with a Profitec Go and Eureka Mignon grinder and feel like I made a great entry without needing to upgrade any time soon. For me, PID was a must to reduce sources of frustration and thereby Profitec Go (on discount) was most sensible if I wasn't going to add it myself on a silvia or gaggia. W

What should I gift a new Bambino Plus owner? [$300]
The grinder is the most important thing, more than the machine. But good ones are expensive. There are many recommended here, but I always recommend Eureka Mignons for their heavy, commercial look, reliability, and overall good grind. But they have a very big range of models. A Zero is cheapest for

Single Dose Grinder Recommendations [$400]
I've been happy with my Zero, though I've only been using it about a month. It feels solid, it is very quiet, and I've gotten good espresso from it. The geared adjustment adjustment setup is key, but is an inexpensive mod and can be 3d printed at home if you like. The only thing I think I'd upgrade

Weight-dosing grinders [$1000]
I just got my eureka mignon Libra yesterday. It grinds by weight. Very happy with it so far. They run about $800

Grinder upgrade?
As a comment above, think what you expect from coffee. Flat burr - for light and medium roast Conical burr - for dark roast For DF64 if you pick gen 2.5 you are covered. Also in same price rand you can buy: eureka - zero 65 AP, single dose, pro; df64 -> anything closer to this spec:~65mm burr and ze

Mahlkönig E64 WS Arrived Today! Home setup is complete
So, the grinder is setup and grinding. Coming from a Eureka Specialita Turbo no tears yet. Look, I enjoy gatekeeping from time to time as much as the next guy. I get it, it's not a $3K Mahlkonig, it's not built as robustly as commercial machines, and the location of final assembly is different. Havi

Grinder pairing - grind by weight or high end single dose
I have the single dose version (basically) of the libra 65 AP - the mignon zero 65AP. I really like it, it was cheaper than the libra, and was a significant upgrade in consistency, build quality, and ability to dial in over my baratza encore ESP. Also unofficially you can change the burrs for any of

Every morning on Pike
I have been doing it for a long time. It's faster and it's way cheaper. And the result is usually better. Breville Barista line is amazing. And if you want to spend more on a dual boiler solution, Rancilio Silvia Pro X paired with Eureka Mignon Libra. The later two are relatively expensive, but at $

Switched from single dosing to a Mahlkönig E65 GBW… I don’t think I’m going back.
Agreed with this. Like I’ll pay more for GBW but for example on the mignons what’s virtually the same grinder moving from the zero to the libra roughly doubles the cost. Feels like it should be $100 or so
