Is a decent machine worth it if you don't buy expensive beans?
I can buy specialty beans almost for the price of supermarket organic blabla beans. So I guess you have to find a better supplier. Also your grinder does the most important part. So I would go (went) for a Rancilio Silvia and then the most expensive grinder your budget allows. Eureka Mignon Libra to

Round Two! Looking for a good grinder for espresso with easy cleaning & maintenance other than Niche Zero [$1000]
I always say Eureka Mignon Libra, now $800. I have a 16 month old 55mm version, still flawless operation, zero retention, can walk up and have the shot in 10 seconds. The hopper holds a 12 oz bag, which assumes you'll drink that in a week or less so as not to go stale. Grind is very quiet, build is

What should I gift a new Bambino Plus owner? [$300]
The grinder is the most important thing, more than the machine. But good ones are expensive. There are many recommended here, but I always recommend Eureka Mignons for their heavy, commercial look, reliability, and overall good grind. But they have a very big range of models. A Zero is cheapest for

Grinder pairing - grind by weight or high end single dose
I have the single dose version (basically) of the libra 65 AP - the mignon zero 65AP. I really like it, it was cheaper than the libra, and was a significant upgrade in consistency, build quality, and ability to dial in over my baratza encore ESP. Also unofficially you can change the burrs for any of

Eureka Atom W 65 Casa vs non-Casa?
The Casa sits between the Mignon Libra and Atom 65 W. It's much more robust than the Mignon and a solid choice for a home grinder, while the 65 W is suitable for small cafe work.

Shot pulling too fast with fine grind
I have a Mignon Libra. From the factory I think something wasn't quite set right with the actual grinder plates. I ended up pulling the top plate off to check it out and after I re-seated it everything seemed right. You might try that, and try rotating the top plate before screwing down if that does

Advice on which grinder to buy
I have a Eureka Mignon Libra 65AP, a bit less expensive than the Allground Sense, 14 months, very happy with it. Came from a Niche Zero for 5 years previously.

Upgrade from encore [~1k or less]
I love GBW and wouldn't go back to a grinder without. So easy for changing beans and dialing in. Fiorenzato AllGround Sense if budget allows, Eureka Mignon Libra is a bit cheaper. Both are solid, super reliable options if you do consider that route.

Please help me decide - Profitec MOVE or ECM Synk II [$2500 - $4500]
I have the Eureka Mignon Libra AP at the office. Mostly great, a bit finicky at times showing an "FH" error. Easy to dial in and can be used for other grinds, not just espresso. It's a workhorse. I also have Profitec Twist A54 which is timer-based but very accurate once you get the time dialed in. I

Why is the grinder game so stressful…?
I went to a Eureka Mignon Libra a few months back from a DF64. The Libra is absolutely amazing!! GBW, super simple workflow, zero issues from day one. I cannot recommend it enough
