What is the BambuLab A1 of resin printing?
At the price point, the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k or 16k are $800-1200 of machine for $400-500. It and Heygears (at that $1200+ price point) do the most to absolve the user of tuning a dozen speeds and feeds for the Z-axis movement / release & retract cycle. Heygears does this by having their slicing and p

Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, over a year of troubleshooting and I still can't fix it.
The S4U springloaded plate means that wait times are even more mandatory than regular printers. The light turns on way before the resin has settled and the springs have found home. This means you get a layer thicker than supposed especially at 20um, your bottom layers are probably closer to 0.5 or e

Elegoo mars 5 competitor?
Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K is an amazing out the box printer. Heated vat, tilt up lid, auto leveling, send through WiFi printing and updating, and auto calibration. I’ve done NO configuration on mine besides inputting my resin type and selecting a community profile with the highest ratings. I use Sun

how reputable are elegoo printers?
The story people keep trying to spin about the frequency of problems with the automatic leveling build plate simply ignores scale of how many S4Us are out there in use. And there is a very simple solution with increase Wait time before cure for the first 10 or so layers. The Saturn 4 Ultra 12k and 1

Magforms Elastic 600
Did it start to fail at the back and split moving forward like this? https://www.reddit.com/r/resinprinting/comments/1n8gh14/help_with_st_flex_black_70a_parts_of_print_stop/ If so it is partially because the resin stretches and the tilt stroke of the S4U is shorter at the back than the front. Fixes are roug

Dead Spot on Screen
That will be a screen replacement. And, yeah it's getting too common with the S4U just past the 1 year mark. Here's my theory on the source of the problem - bad software configuration of the automatic leveling system and lack of a baked in Rest After Retract along with a couple methods to prevent th

Been having some issues on a print with my saturn 4 ultra
Just going to copy-paste my comment from a couple weeks ago on the matter of S4U dead LCDs: For you next LCD, definitely look into use Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools name) via UVTools for the first 20 layers or so like the following settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/

Suddenly getting these "flakes" in my prints, could use help.
I was going to ask if it was a Saturn 4 Ultra with the crazy thick raft you've got going on in the first picture. When you let it print rafts that far over thickness (what is that 1.7-2.1mm for a 1mm raft?). Your LCD has pressure spot failures, and it is likely because the build plate and overly thi

Prints failing to stick to the plate - Saturn 4 Ultra
Not sure why the thread is all bad advice, but the biggest fix for poor adhesion with the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k* is Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools) for the first 10-20 layers. This is because the automatic leveling and spring-loaded build plate fail to settle the build p

Recommendations for beginner printer.
I got into resin printing with the Saturn 4 ultra 16k and im really happy with it. The heated vat is amazing as I print in my garage and it maintains resin temp. Also the tilting vat peels the model off of the fep instead of just yanking it off. This means that you dont need to fight suction forces
