Resin printing "arms race" over?
Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

Been having some issues on a print with my saturn 4 ultra
Just going to copy-paste my comment from a couple weeks ago on the matter of S4U dead LCDs: For you next LCD, definitely look into use Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools name) via UVTools for the first 20 layers or so like the following settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/

Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, over a year of troubleshooting and I still can't fix it.
The S4U springloaded plate means that wait times are even more mandatory than regular printers. The light turns on way before the resin has settled and the springs have found home. This means you get a layer thicker than supposed especially at 20um, your bottom layers are probably closer to 0.5 or e

The Saturn 4 scares me.
I have a 16k that needs a screen replacement, Elegoo sent me a free screen has it was only 5 months ago and the screen went complete, not the flickering or black spots you can get. And I have to say its been a month and I havent gotten up the courage to even attempt it yet. I am told you cant do the

Saturn 3 vs Saturn 4 in 2025
TL;DR: The Saturn 3 Ultra is a bad value, the Saturn 4 Ultra is an ok value. Best value is the Saturn 3 non-Ultra. Phrozen is Elegoo and Anycubic quality at twice the price. And they generally have worse UV light uniformity. And their support sucks. As a former Phrozen owner, was glad to get rid of

Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - keep or wait for Saturn 5?
No, these are not graphics cards. There's a limit to their technological advancement. 16k print is close to injection moulding, any higher resolution is approaching gimmick status. Unless they revamp the tilt vat and improve fail detection, I can't see what tech improvements are to be made. I'm here

Prints are good, but the supports are too hard to remove.
I print on a Saturn 4 ultra 16k with grey ABS like 3.0. At 30um my exposure time is 1.1 seconds at the most. People overexposing their prints on the saturn 4 16k is a huge problem and its being made worse by the official elegoo spreadsheet listing the 12k and 16k as the same with the horribly overex

Elegoo Jupiter 2 just annoucned, 16k screen
Why Elegoo did not include at least the following features for the saturn 4 ultra 16k, i don't think it would drastically increase the price:lcd screen swap new vat for faster fep changes manual leveling

Used up 1kg of resin but only printed +500g – where did the rest go?
I have had the same issue for about two years since I first started printing, I haven't gotten a good answer from anyone yet. I even got scales and weight everything, the weight of resin poured into the VAT, the weight of models and supports, weight of the IPA pre and post wash, I still have no expl
