Just got my neptune 4 max, any tips before I start using it?
Hey u/NeiaLancia , Congrats on your new 3d printer! Longtime Elegoo Neptune 4 Max owner here, that was the first printer I owned and started on and absolutely love it. I have over 1500 hours printing on it now and she still works like new. Just a few pieces of advice 3d Printing is a continuous lear

Best printer for big prints?
Hey u/GeneralPack4401 , check out the Elegoo Neptune product line. The Neptune 4 Plus and Neptune 4 Max will have more build volume than any of the Bambu products and like yourself, I started back in the day with early Makerbots. The Elegoo products are very budget friendly however they will require

Neptune 4 Max
It's actually pretty simple. Neptune 4 Max is not supposed to print out of the box. It requires setup and calibration by the user. A1 setup is done at the factory (although it's not individually calibrated).

Damnit, too expensive!
10 days ago you wrote "Does anyone have experience with both the SV08Max and the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max? I've got a ton of money and time getting the Neptune printing reliably", did you just purchase both, and is your MK4S/MMU3 reliable? It is expensive. Since you think it is too expensive, we won't b

Bambu labs A1 Vs elegoo Neptune 4 max
-Bambu is more refined and "beginner friendly" -Neptune runs klipper which allows for modding -Bambu has a more plug and play focus -Neptune has a steep (ish) learning curve The 4 max is definitely a capable printer but in my experience with the 4 plus, you definitely need to learn if you haven't al

I’m ripping my hair out
After getting started with a used, perfectly tuned Prusa Mk3s+, then getting 2x Centauri Carbons, then a Neptune 4 Max… the Neptune is a shit printer to get started with, but great way to learn. Took me two weeks of constant tinkering to get mine to print reliably.

SV08Max vs Neptune 4 Max?
I'm a huge fan of my Neptune 4 Max. I have over 2000 printing hours with it over the course of 2.5 years, its been my most reliable workhorse. I create props, armor, tools, you name it - That printer has pretty much seen it all. The one thing I have to mention, there is a requirement to spend time l

Print head making awful grinding noise when accelerating
The Max are pretty rough, I’ve tested like 4 of them. The smaller ones may be ok but you might need to tinker with it. I’m currently using the Neptune 4 Max (ELEGOO replace my N3 max with an n4 max) and there’s like a whole website dedicated to tinkering with it out of the box (neptune4.help) I’ve a

It may be kinda slow, but man is it cool watching it make two pieces at once!
I use vision minner nano polymer. Goes on like water and drugs instantly leaves no mark on your print and where you put it off your printing pla you can print there a crap load of times without reapplying. When you print huge crap on sv08 max and Neptune 4 max the second one do not buy the Neptune s
