Seeing the rest of the post, I agree with the other comment that you are asking for the Multi Material Unit. There is a post that someone was able to load a bit of custom firmware and use a self built MMU in place of the elegoo one, but it does require quite a bit if work. Also, when elegoo released

Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2
I have the original Elegoo Centauri Carbon, so your mileage may vary, but I heartily endorse the 0.2mm nozzle - it makes a big difference! At the highest quality settings (Optimal in OrcaSlicer), I can print a detailed fantasy knight, which is roughly equivalent to a space marine, in a little over a

Need help on first 3d printer
Go a little bit over your budget, and get an Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. Bambu A1 Combo (or A1 mini I guess if you feel like you don't need the extra print space) is a valid option too, but I'd much prefer an enclosed CoreXY in case you ever want to print a part that isn't PLA or PETG.

Is Resin or PLA better for a series of large prints?
Go with a filament printer, %100. I have both a resin printer and a couple filament printers, and while I love my resin printer for the fine details it can produce, the filament printer is far more versatile and you can tune one to produce nearly as good of results, easily good enough to smash the t

Best for teen
The cheaper enclosed option would be the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. The other even cheaper option is a resin printer but that will depend on how much you trust them to handle uncured resin and what kind of things they would like to make with it. If they are into DND and into model building/making, th

How’s the cc?
The ECC 2 is an advanced ECC 1 with the upgraded lighting system, an AI detection camera, an automated shuttered fan, a 350° nozzle, HEPA filter using an activated carbonfilter, and the ability to print in color that use similar materials, ability to use Auto refill, dissimilar filaments (with simil

Table mount
If you do consider getting one, id recommend the elegoo centauri carbon 2 lol. Just got one myself a couple weeks ago and it was basically plug and play after it did its calibration on first startup. It's multi color capable, but kinda wastes quite a bit of filament during the color change, though i

CC2 says it is printing in the slicer but nothing is being actively printed
Me too. I have an Elegoo Centauri Carbon & i bought the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 to treat myself. Since i bought the first one and nothing indicated an AMA model came out. Anyway, the first printer is a BEAST. It prints anything on any surface even though i completely neglect the bed plates. I'm not

3d printer
Putting in another vote the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Use the money you saved from buying a more expensive option towards filament. It's enclosed, its fast, heats up to 350C for high temp filaments, and you'll have some of the best customer support out there from a 3d printer manufacturer. At $419 in
