I put the horse before the cart. Now I need speakers.
The Powernode is a good unit and should be able to handle a wide range of speakers. I have an older PN2i paired with the Elac DBR62 speakers and an Elac subwoofer in my smaller, second system. It is a very good combination. As someone else mentioned, you might want to consider a subwoofer as well. T

Trying to get a turntable set up, planned, need some opinions
Spending that much money on Edifier speakers probably isn’t the way to go. You might also want to go with passive speakers and an amplifier for easier upgrade paths going forward. Think e.g. these (or something similar from DALI, Polk, etc.): ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63-BK (EAC review) Yamaha A-S501 I’m not

KEF overrated?
Over time, I've learnt not to disparage or sing praises of speakers because so many factors, especially taste, can affect perception of a speaker's performance. I've seen KEFs disparaged as too bright or veiled, or with bass that's too lean or bloated - which is all contradictory. KEFs tend to measu

Record player setup advice needed - where to best invest my money to upgrade
Eh? Can’t improve on cheap Technics speakers from 90’s (crossover is just a 1st order, electrolytic capacitor on the tweeter (probably crapped out by now) — nothing else), and $200 Audio-Technica turntable with $1k budget? Something like ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63 and Fluance RT84. (Or +$50 for the acrylic

Help with speaker setup with Nakamichi IA-3s amplifier
The amp is 40wpc into 8Ohms, it’s not rated for 4Ohm speakers and I’d not expect it to drive “difficult” 8Ohm speakers well, for example Kefs. Have a look around the second hand market. New, I consider the Elac DBR62 to be great for detail and clarity, but not very strong bass. The Elac DB63 are als

Finally went away from the soundbar
I have had the Samsung S50B for the last two years. As far as sound stage there is no comparison but I did like the dialogue of the S50B after enabling voice clarity. Ironically it got better after adding my Roku leveling setting. Now I'm on Elac speakers and an Onkyo avr and there is zero clarity a

Help for new system (Amp)
You’ve got a solid set of components already, and yes — you mainly just need an amp. A few key points to help you choose: Yamaha A-S301 is a great pick at $500. It’s reliable, has plenty of power for the ELAC DB63 in a normal room, and it includes a phono input for your Rega (so you don’t need a sep

To pair with the Fluance RT82, I accidentally purchased both Klipsch The Sevens and The Nines. Not sure which to keep and which to return.
Return both! Klipsch can be rather pricey for what they are, even when on sale since the MSRP on them can be overpriced, don't let the high MSRP and discounts fool you! For the good Sota phono preamp, get a good pair of passive speakers and separate amplification. You already have the Fluance RT82?
