I put the horse before the cart. Now I need speakers.

The Powernode is a good unit and should be able to handle a wide range of speakers. I have an older PN2i paired with the Elac DBR62 speakers and an Elac subwoofer in my smaller, second system. It is a very good combination. As someone else mentioned, you might want to consider a subwoofer as well. T

KEF overrated?

Over time, I've learnt not to disparage or sing praises of speakers because so many factors, especially taste, can affect perception of a speaker's performance. I've seen KEFs disparaged as too bright or veiled, or with bass that's too lean or bloated - which is all contradictory. KEFs tend to measu

To pair with the Fluance RT82, I accidentally purchased both Klipsch The Sevens and The Nines. Not sure which to keep and which to return.

Return both! Klipsch can be rather pricey for what they are, even when on sale since the MSRP on them can be overpriced, don't let the high MSRP and discounts fool you! For the good Sota phono preamp, get a good pair of passive speakers and separate amplification. You already have the Fluance RT82?

Bookshelf Speaker Recs

Recommending second hand products is extremely difficult. It depends entirely on what you can find locally (wherever you are in the world — as you didn’t tell that). At $200 there are very limited number of small new bookshelf speakers. Usually if you wanted a good entry level bookshelf speaker, the

Advice on system upgrades

Maybe save up, and then upgrade your speakers and phono preamplifier. Maybe you could find something second hand. Possibly best you could do with your current budget: ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63-BK (EAC review)

Need help for bookshelf speakers

If you’re using your PC as a streamer anyway, active speakers are a natural choice, so you might want to take a closer look at the Adam T7V or the larger T8V. As for a passive setup, we’d probably only stay within budget if you opted for second-hand components such as an amplifier from the Yamaha A-

Living room speakers advice and recommendations

Monitor Audio Bronze 200 what series? The latest Bronze 7G series doesn’t appear to have a 200 model. Are you looking to buy some older series model, like the Bronze 200 6G from 2020? The ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63-BK (EAC review) speaker, that people have suggested (like I would), would be much more certa

Needing advice on my setup

separates, integrated AMP and passive speakers will be superior but the initial cost will be higher like a WiiM Amp for $300 and Elac Debut 3.0 DB63's for $500
