Need some suggestions for a turntable within 500 dollar budget

What is your whole budget? Here's my "standard" first-timer recommendation: Fluance RT82 ($299) Yamaha A-S301 ($349, decent built-in preamp) Polk ES15 or KEF Q150, $299. Looking to get my first full setup, need some pointers and general advice.

If you want powered speakers take a look at Q Acoustics M20 and ELAC Connex DCB41 also. Personally I would go for passives and an amp e.g. Yamaha A-S301 (~£350), ELAC Debut 6.3 (£250) and an AT-LP120X (£250)

Recommendations for powered speakers with built in phono-preamp. Budget $300-$500

Powered speakers with phono input options are kind of slim. You're looking at either kanto yu series or klipsch. Elac has the connex dcb41, but that's a little over budget.
