Trying to figure this out currently. I’ve read a lot of posts. I’m on Frontier Fiber, 1g, ps5 plugged into my eero pro 7 router. Only thing I can’t do is designate the portal to 5GHz, router doesn’t allow for that. But fuck it sucks when it lags.

I'm thinking about a $150 TP Link be550 or a $230 Ubiquiti Dream 7. But purely for WIFI performance and stability. Thoughts?
I’d choose an Eero Pro 7 over the TP Link. If you choose the UDR, I promise it won’t end there…

Can someone recommend a smart outlet that actually works? Meross is hot garbage, never buy their products
I have spent so much time trying to get Meross outlets to connect to HomeKit (via eero pro 7), and literally nothing works. I have tried every variant of toggling 2.4ghz on and off, resetting phone, outlet, router, AppleTV, disabling every possible WiFi privacy setting, etc and nothing works. Meross

Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10
You sound exactly like me. Work from home. Don't mind tinkering, hate fixing. Computer background from school (lawyer now though). I have an old house, fiber comes in the back of the house and I have cat6 running around the outside of the house to the middle and end of my house. (My house is long an

G4AR -> New Eero Max 7 -> Eero Pro 7, now what?
Connected my new Eero Max 7 to the G4AR via CAT 6 Ethernet cable (I have an CAT 7 on order) and have a Eero Pro 7 for mesh out to security cameras ect. Works great but the Max is typically a couple hundred Mbps slower than the Gateway. Is that just the way things are or are there other things, like

Is Spectrum 100 Mbps good enough for Streaming on the internet all day long?
This price sounds way too high. It also depends on how many square feet you have, and whether you use a single router or have a mesh network system. We pay $49.95 a month for 500 mbs from Spectrum. My house is 2700 sq feet AND I use a Eero mesh network with an Eero Pro 7 Gateway router with 2 Eero 6

Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10
Okay one more quick update. Literally just now, I replaced my gateway router from the Eero Pro 7 to the Eero Max 7. In the next room, I'm getting 500mbps down / 900 mbps up. I'm not sure why it's so much better down than up, but that's pretty damn good. And all the satellites I'm keeping as Eero Pro

Using T Mobile routers built in Wi-Fi vs TP-Link Deco Wi-Fi 6 Mesh
Use the WiFi on your mesh and NOT on the G5AR. The WiFi on the G5 is currently flaky with frequent drops especially on Apple devices. I’ve used an eero Pro 7 and a tp link BE67 with the G5 with no issues
