Netgear just EOL'd my Orbi AC3000 – any recommendations?

I’ve heard the EERO WiFi 6+ is pretty good, same with the deco XE75 (WiFi 6) & deco BE3600 (WiFi 7). Alternatively, I still think netgear mesh systems have good value for the money. Wouldn’t be the worse to get another one if you don’t want to spend a lot, basically every manufacturer will stop supp

An eero 6+ 3 pack mesh will likely solve your problem well. Each unit is rated for 140sqm so if you spread them through the apartment evenly, you should never see another problem (approx 180 eur). The trick to beating the backhaul problem is to place the units strategically where the signal is still

Networking Problem (pros only)

I don't think this is particularly smart for several reasons. Setting up your desktop as a wifi access point will turn it into a competing network. Your devices will have to connect manually to switch between networks. The router commands aren't hard to do, but you are gonna ask for trouble any time

Help Me Pick a WiFi Solution

If you only have a gigabit link, what is the point in investing a tonne more for WiFi 7 devices that don’t even do MlO? Why do you need the additional bandwidth, do you have that many additional devices? My vote is go for good 6E or invest in wiring. In 5-10 years these WiFi hubs and routers will be

Netgear 7800 EOL - what should I do? Flash software or buy new router?

that's what I meant I think Brainslayer (the DDWRT dev) said they won't be doing DDWRT for Wifi 6/7. To OP's point playing is fine, but a $50 used Eero 6+ or a $150 Eero 7 would probably be a better "idiot proof" solution. I'm a network engineer in day job but use a single Eero 7 at home. Honey like
