Edifier are too pricey now with all the recent price increases. 4" Edifier R1280DBs are $199 now :( too much for basic entry level starter speakers for a small room. Also, make sure your speakers are set to the right input. Probably this, compounded by the fact that the R1280DBs has two RCA inputs (LINE1 / LINE2) but no specific button for each one and no indication whether LINE1 or LINE2 is active; you apparently have to just toggle through them until you land
