What’s your *proudest* hack?

Every quick service restaurant and food stand with a soda fountain will give you free water. Bring hydration packets (Liquid IV, DripDrop, etc) and drink one or two per day. The heat this time of year is no joke and you will dehydrate just from being outside and sweating. (It took me years of trips

Half dome advice?

Unless you want to carry a lot of water weight, buy a $20 water filter that fits on the end of a plastic water bottle. Fill up your bottles at the river at Lower Yosemite Valley. That's your last real water source. Make sure you're getting electrolytes. Bring DripDrop or other similar hydration powd

Give me all your hydration hacks

Tried the ones with 1000mg of salt and it was too much salt on my gut and made me swell. So I use drip drop that has 400mg per stick. Seems to keep the symptoms in check. Usually have 1 per day and about 90 oz of water

The Part of Chronic Illness No One Warned Me About: Food

Also, if your stomach is on the fritz, it could be that your stomach is dehydrated. I know this sounds crazy, but Proper hydration through drinking water, electrolyte, drip drop, coconut water, and eating water-rich foods (like watermelon, cucumbers, or celery)—is essential to keep your gut bacteria

Shivering Attack - had this happened to anyone?

Because it takes a lot of energy to be in pain, it's not just water; it is also electrolytes, Drip Drop, which was made by a doctor for extreme dehydration. Also, coconut water; not sure if you tried banana water. Also, Liquid IV, but as I said, I prefer Drip Drop because I'm always dehydrated mysel

Dehydrated post chemo - what are your tricks?

I see there are 50+ comments so I’m probably reiterating some but here’s what I did. *Request hydration concurrently (or otherwise) at chemo infusions.*Find an electrolyte brand + taste you really enjoy! (Liquid IV, Drip Drop, Nectar got me thru chemo & I still use them!)*Consume hydrating fruits & ve

First dose (2.5) - Not doing hot

I am a water hater so I add DripDrops to my water to make it taste better but to up my hydration without having to consume large amounts of water. I do one packet a day. It seems to help. I also started taking a pre & probiotic. It has really helped the stool situation.

dehydration

Check out Drip Drop. Apparently it has a better hydration formula. Anecdotally, I can say it works well for me. Also, I like the flavors. I just wish they'd make a sugar-free version with allulose instead of erythritol!

dehydration

I drink drip drop. The endocrinologist told me to sip it throughout the day. He said if you have a lot of diarrhea and I’ve had a lot of surgeries, avoid water because you don’t absorb it and it just makes the diarrhea worse. Then you’re more thirsty so you drink more water then the diarrhea is wors

Give me all your hydration hacks

Drip drop is the best! I can't do the high sodium ones either, my hands and feet swell so bad and I feel like crap. I make sure to eat a higher sodium, healthy diet so the electrolytes packets can be overkill when there's 1000 mg of salt in them.
